Barcelona vs. Huesca live stream: Watch La Liga online
Barcelona face newcomers Huesca at the Camp Nou on Sunday, Sept. 2. Here’s all the info you need to watch the match.
It’s a season of firsts for newly promoted Huesca and so far they have made the most of it. By far the smallest team in La Liga, they fittingly visited the division’s second smallest team, Eibar, on their opening day fixture. In front of a modest 4,000 people, Huesca were able to score their first ever top flight goals in a 2-1 win. A draw in their second match against Athletic Bilbao leaves them with four points from their first two games.
It’s an incredible rise for a club who have spent most of their history in Spain’s third division, Segunda B and only reached the second division in 2009, getting relegated in 2013. However shocked everyone last season by finishing runners up in the Segunda division title race, despite possessing the sixth smallest budget in the league, Huesca seem set on shocking everyone once more and Sunday presents La Liga’s newcomers with a big chance to do just that.
A visit to the Camp Nou is a dream come true for players of many Champions League sides, so the players of Huesca will likely see it as a once in a lifetime opportunity. A win is a massive ask for the away side, however a good performance will only do Leo Franco’s team further favors as they try to put Huesca on the footballing map.
Barcelona have enjoyed a perfect start, but it would be foolish to think that it has been easy for the Catalans. Last weekend, the defending champions were forced to play out their passing game on a pitch more fit for growing potatoes than for playing football. A second half Ousmane Dembele strike was enough for Sunday’s hosts and the Frenchman will likely be the one under the microscope as he looks to silence his critics in Barcelona for the second consecutive week.
