2019 NFL Mock Draft: Bills land Nick Bosa at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The Seattle Seahawks missed the playoffs last season for the first time in five years, so there was obviously going to be some changes this offseason. The organization made changes to staff, and player personnel, as it is getting harder to keep expensive talent after paying Russell Wilson so much money a few years ago.
When it comes to the offense, they do still have Wilson, who accounted for all but one of the Seahawks touchdowns last season. Yes, you read that correctly. In 2018, they are going to have to find ways to get it done on the ground, and the hope is second rounder Rashaan Penny can come in and team with Chris Carson to give the Seahawks a nice punch in the running game.
On defense, the Seahawks let Richard Sherman go, who was a leader in their secondary. In fact, their fabled defense that led them to a Super Bowl title has been pretty much blown up in recent years, so the time has come for them to bring in some new talent to go along with guys like Bobby Wagner, and Frank Clark.
One player coming out next year that can really help them is Derrick Brown, who is a good-looking defensive tackle from Auburn. Brown has that ability to play up and down the line, and after spending four draft picks on the defense in 2018, they should look to add an elite interior defender in the first round in April.
