35. . Offensive Tackle. Wisconsin. David Edwards. 19. player

The Tennessee Titans had a great 2017 NFL season, making it to the playoffs, and then pulling off one of the biggest upsets of the playoffs. The Titans were able to go into Kansas City and beat the Chiefs inside Arrowhead Stadium in the Wild Card Round, giving the team incredible playoff experience heading into 2018.

The Titans revolve around the quarterback, and they have a good one in Marcus Mariota. Since the team drafted him No. 2 overall back in 2015, Mariota has developed into one of the better young signal-callers in the game, and continues to get better every season. He should lead the team to a possible playoff appearance again this Fall.

In terms of where they should go with their first round pick in April, the TItans should look to get even better up front on the offensive side of the ball. Protecting Mariota has to be priority No. 1 for Tennessee, and adding a player like Wisconsin’s David Edwards to their tackle group would ensure he has incredible bookend protection for the next ten years.

Tennessee already has a beast of a left tackle in Taylor Lewan, so Edwards would be drafted to play on the right side. There is nothing wrong with that, and as we will see in San Francisco this season with Mike McGlinchey, sometimes drafting a spot that is already a strength can be a good thing, even in the first round.
