Christian Wilkins. 25. player. 124. . Defensive Tackle. Clemson

The Kansas City Chiefs are rolling the dice this season, as they traded away Pro Bowl quarterback Alex Smith this offseason, as they look to begin the Patrick Mahomes Era. There is no doubt that Mahomes has the talent to be a solid quarterback in the NFL, but Smith won the Chiefs two straight AFC West titles, so it will be interesting to see if Mahomes can make it three in a row.

The Chiefs have a ton of weapons on the offensive side of the ball, as last season, rookie running back Kareem Hunt came out of nowhere to lead the NFL in rushing. In the passing game, the Chiefs brought in Sammy Watkins to team with guys like Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, giving Mahomes a bunch of options to choose from when he drops back to pass.

On defense, the Chiefs have a lot of work to do, and that includes getting Eric Berry ready to go for the season opener. Up front, the Chiefs spent a third round pick last April on Florida State defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi, but they should look to spend their first rounder next year on a defensive tackle from Clemson who is an absolute monster.

Prior to the 2018 NFL Draft, many experts predicted that Christian Wilkins would be a first round pick, but he decided to return to school for another shot at a national title. In Wilkins, the Chiefs would have their best nose tackle since Dontari Poe, as they just continue to stockpile assets that could result in a Super Bowl title in the near future.
