2019 NFL Mock Draft: Bills land Nick Bosa at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The Green Bay Packers will likely stay defense with their second of two first round picks in April, if they decide to hang on to both picks. Having this kind of draft equity can really improve your team, whether they are used for trades, or if you decide to bring in two college football players that can contribute in year one.
One are of concern for the Packers is up front on defense, so it would make sense for them to bring in an interior lineman via the NFL Draft. Jordan Simmons from Mississippi State is a bonafide first round prospect, and has the size, and strength you need to push offensive lineman around at the next level.
With Aaron Rodgers back under center after missing most of last season with a broken collarbone, this Packers team is going to score points. The bugaboo with the team has been shutting down the elite NFC offenses in the playoffs, so it makes sense for them to use both of their 2019 first round picks on that side of the ball.
The NFC North is going to be very fun to watch, and we will see how the Packers weaknesses unfold throughout the season. Sure, they are going to be a playoff team, but as we have seen in recent runs, the team is only going to go as far as the defense is able to take them, even with the best quarterback in the league.
