2019 NFL Mock Draft: Bills land Nick Bosa at No. 1
By Brad Weiss
The Minnesota Vikings made a stellar run to the NFC title game last season, riding the right arm of Case Keenum through the playoffs. Of course, the Vikings had arguably the best defense in all of football, and they should be just as good this season, and will win the NFC North.
When it comes to the quarterback position, Keenum will be replaced by Kirk Cousins, who signed a long-term deal with the team this offseason. Cousins gives the Vikings a guy who has produced at a high level during his NFL career, and he has some of the best targets he has ever had since coming into the league.
With guys like Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, and Kyle Rudolph to throw to, Cousins is going to love his new diggs (pun intended) in Minnesota. On defense, the Vikings could use another strong outside linebacker to add to the second level of their defense, and Jalen Jelks from Oregon is playing his way into first round status.
Jelks had a monster first game of the season, and would team well with guys like Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr in a very elite linebacker group. The Vikings are a team that are not going anywhere anytime soon, and just may be the one to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl in February.
