Best Lineup

A quick aside, DraftKings formula gives the player $50,000 worth of salary cap to work with. The lineup below utilizes that and will be entered into DraftKings best free contest.

QB: Marcus Mariota $6300

RB: Ezekiel Elliott $7700

RB: Royce Freeman $4500

WR: Keenan Allen $7500

WR: Jarvis Landry $5500

WR: Marquise Goodwin $4600

TE: Greg Olsen $5400

FLEX: Corey Davis $5600

D/ST: Cincinnati Bengals $2700

This lineup is built around two stars in Ezekiel Elliott and Keenan Allen. Both are poised for big years with Elliott being the odds on favorite to lead the NFL in rushing attempts. Allen is a PPR monster and gets a soft Chiefs secondary to open the season. Royce Freeman, the rookie running back who is slated to start for the Denver Broncos, provides great value. His price should jump as the season progresses. Jarvis Landry, like Allen, offers a very low floor against Pittsburgh in the standard PPR format of DraftKings. The quarterback-wide receiver pairing of Marcus Mariota and Corey Davis are my pick to be the league’s best young connection and I think both take a huge step this season as elite players at their position. Finally Greg Olsen gets a Dallas defense that has questions at safety and is returning to be Cam Newton’s safety blanket. Cincinnati is the choice on defense despite missing Vontaze Burfict for this game. A theme that will run continuously until proven otherwise is to play the defense going against the Colts offense. Indianapolis has the worst collection of skill players in the NFL and the Bengals front seven looks dominant.
