Seattle Seahawks @ Denver Broncos (-3)

All offseason long, the national media held a funeral for the Seattle Seahawks dynasty. Richard Sherman is gone, putting to bed the Legion of Boom. Their wide receivers and running backs are question marks at best. Pete Carroll seems to be losing his touch. It all seems to be falling apart in front of our eyes.

The Broncos, on the other hand, look to bounce back from their worst-case scenario last season. They signed Case Keenum to big money in the offseason after their quarterback situation made no sense. They moved on from Paxton Lynch officially just days ago. Von Miller is still great. People like Royce Freeman as a running back.

Let’s just wait until we bury the Seahawks. Yes, they are missing some of their big defensive pieces, but they still have the best player on the field in Russell Wilson. We’ve seen him make something out of nothing before. This Denver defense is not the one from three years ago. Wilson can make throws against this team. Give me Seattle in the upset.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers (-3.5)

I will preface this by saying the Kansas City Chiefs are so confusing. The team moved on from Alex Smith to go with Pat Mahomes. Tyreek Hill is one of the most dangerous weapons in the league. Kareem Hunt is lightning quick. However, their defense could be Swiss cheese. It could be even worse if Eric Berry can’t go in Week 1.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers have people yelling from the rooftops that they are the sleeper of the season. In my opinion, that takes them off the sleeper list, but that’s another argument for another day.

There are way too many questions when it comes to the Chiefs, and at least the Chargers know that the Philip Rivers to Keenan Allen connection is healthy. That alone could win them this game against this defense.
