The Bengals and the Colts will be looking to put dismal 2017 campaigns behind the in Week 1.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts both had poor 2017 campaigns, with 7-9 and 4-12 records respectively. But there’s reason for hope for both this year, as they’ll look to start 2018 with a mark in the win column.

The Bengals underachieved across the board last season, amid an early season offensive coordinator change an 0-3 start and five losses in seven games over another stretch. But a two-game winning steak to end the season was a good sign, and head coach Marvin Lewis survived again.

Over in Indianapolis, hope bears the name of Andrew Luck. After missing all of last year with a shoulder issue after surgery in January of 2017, he’s back on the field and moving toward being all the way back. A lack of downfield throwing during the preseason is a concern, but as long as Luck is on the field the Colts can be optimistic.

This game is in the 1 p.m. ET window on Sunday, with very little buzz compared to some other Week 1 games. But if you’ve got a fantasy interest in the game, here’s how you can watch Bengals-Colts and find team-specific coverage on our FanSided network.

A loss in Week 1 won’t be a death knell for either of these teams, but it would be a setback in what are setting up to be pretty competitive divisions.
