Vegas favors the Broncos

As is the case multiple times on the Week 1 NFL slate, with little else of substance to go on for the first week, the oddsmakers have the Broncos by three points based on having home field advantage.

Odds

Line: Broncos (-3)
Over/Under: 43

A low-scoring game is expected by Vegas, probably correctly, with 43 as the second-lowest over/under on this week’s slate, behind only the 40.5 on Bills-Ravens Two solid defenses, even if the Seahawks aren’t what they were at their peak, stands to bring a battle of field position. The turnover margin and the kicking game should be a huge deciding factors in who wins.

Wilson could pull some magic out of his hat late in the game and lead the Seahawks to a win on Sunday, but it would still be hard to consider it a real, surprising “upset” on the road.
