Secondary: Austin Ekeler – 11% Ownership

I need to set one thing straight. Ekeler is NOT a standard handcuff. If Gordon were to go down, he may see some more work but he’s not the type of player that James Conner is, he won’t step in and produce at the level Melvin Gordon does. With that being said, he’s a talented player who saw a total of ten touches that including five targets. He’s involved enough to be an intriguing flex play in deeper leagues, and could increase his workload as the season goes on.

Secondary: Nyheim Hines – 7% Ownership

There’s no sugar coating Nyheim Hines’ preseason: it stunk. He was dropping punts, getting stuffed at the line and running very sloppy routes. The good news here is that he’s only a rookie, and the Colts backfield isn’t exactly solidified. He didn’t jump off the film in week one, but he saw more work than a lot of people realize. A player with his talent should improve quickly and he has the opportunity to do it. He’s better off in PPR formats or for teams that are a bit desperate.
