Start: James Connor, Pittsburgh Steelers

vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Week 1 was not an anomaly for James Connor. He’s a solid running back who’s operating within a well rounded offensive attack. The Steelers obviously see him as a talent and an important apart of their game plan.

Kansas City allowed 123 rushing yards with an average 5.6 yards per carry against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Steelers are going to look to start off exploiting the Chiefs secondary and then shift to pounding the ball. Kansas City’s defense just doesn’t have enough talent to keep the Steelers and Connor in check.

Sit: Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings

@ Green Bay Packers

The Vikings operated with a split backfield in week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. Dalvin Cook had the most carries at 16, but Latavius Murray got his share with 11 carries. This tells me that the Vikings plan on keeping Murray in the mix.

Murray had solid production last year when Cook went down with an injury. That injury could be another reason for the split workload. The Vikings know that Cook is their most explosive runner and will want to make sure he’s healthy for the playoff run.

Green Bay’s defense picked up their play in the second half against the Bears. They have a talented defensive line capable of overpowering the Vikings offensive line.
