No. 8 Christian McCaffrey vs. Atlanta

The Panthers eeked out a win against Dallas and McCaffrey got off to a solid start on the ground and in the air. Ten rushes for 50 yards to go with a solid six catches for 45 yards. That’s against a Dallas defense with a solid front and a linebacker core that isn’t exactly a slouch when it comes to covering the backs in the pass game.

Atlanta struggled against the defending champion Eagles on Monday night giving up a pair of touchdowns and 100+ yards to open their season. Add in the fact they’ve lost Keanu Neal for the year and there’s weakness there.

The Falcons are a team a lot still love and this matchup potentially as well. With Norv Turner, though, at the helm for the Panthers, the former Stanford star should be a key part of this offense moving forward. McCaffrey had a really solid 2017 and with the way Cam Newton looked in parts to start, against this banged up defense for the Falcons this matchup favors McCaffrey for sure.
