Everton have looked revitalized with Richarlison to start the 2018 season. Marco Silva has a signing of the year candidate as the young Brazilian has been brilliant for the Blues in his first four matches. Then he did head butted an opponent which caused him to be suspended. Regardless, he is talented and if he can stop the antics, he will be an incredible player. Overall, Everton have looked the part of a competitive side. They currently sit seventh in the Premier League table and they showed no signs of slowing down prior to the international break. If Everton are able to return to the Europa League after a disappointing 2017 finish the club will surely consider it a success.
West Ham, in stark contrast to Everton, have looked absolutely horrible so far this season. They are dead last in the table and have yet to even pick up a point. Manuel Pellegrini may not be long for the club as his seat is getting increasingly hot as time rolls on. If the Hammers don’t figure something out, and soon, they may become a lock to be sent down to the Championship. For a side that has spent as much money as they have, that would a colossal failure and huge disappointment.
