Hot seat watch, Week 3: Winners (Tom Herman) and losers (Willie Taggart)
Kliff Kingsbury: Texas Tech – Winner
The Texas Tech Red Raiders are once again a juggernaut on offense and that should surprise absolutely no one. After defeating Lamar by 77 last week, the Red Raiders had a tough challenge with Houston on the schedule
It was a shootout as everyone expected but the Red Raiders laid down 63 points and picked up a big victory. With only a loss to Ole Miss, they finished their non-conference schedule winning two out of three.
That’s a great start for Kliff Kingsbury and it feels like the program is rolling since late last season. Now, they’ll have a chance to really prove themselves as they got some tough conference battles coming up.
If Kingsbury really wants to help himself, these upcoming games against Oklahoma State, West Virginia and TCU are a great place to start. Securing a win or two would certainly go a long way.
This week however, the Red Raiders and Kingsbury are big winners. Houston is a tough matchup for anyone and they had to score 63 points to come away with the win at home. The Red Raiders have put together 140 points in the last two weeks.
