3. Take the Seahawks -3 versus the Cowboys

Don’t fall into the trap of overreacting to Dallas’ win over the Giants on Sunday night. Nothing about Eli Manning and company has been impressive this season. The Cowboys simply won a game over an inferior team last week.

This is still the same offense that looked terrible against the Panthers in week 1. One big play from Tavon Austin doesn’t change the fact that Dak Prescott’s receiving corps is among the weakest groups in the NFL. Pete Carroll and company recognize this fact. The Seahawks defense is going to load up to stop Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys’ ground game. The talented back might grind out 100 yards in this game, but it’s going to take him a ton of carries to accomplish that goal.

The more interesting storylines in this game will occur when the Seahawks have the football. Their offensive line is a massive weakness. Russell Wilson has already been sacked 12 times in just two games. The Cowboys happen to have a pretty talented defensive front. Seattle cannot afford to get in obvious passing downs if they want to keep their signal caller upright.

That means Carroll and company will spend the majority of their time this week working on the ground game. That’s where the Seahawks are going to find just enough success to win on Sunday. This will be another close game, but Seattle will make at least one more big play than the Cowboys. That will be enough to allow them to cover, if only be a few points.
