. Bills: 0-2 (2-0 Over). Vikings: 1-0-1 (1-1 Over). BUF at MIN, Pick: Over 41. 1. player. 60

Kirk Cousins has apparently filed a trademark application on the phrase “you vike that!?”. After a comeback win over the 2-4 Bucs, Cousins yelled “You like that!? You like that!” at a group of reporters as he walked off the field and into the locker room. It became somewhat of a rallying cry for the Redskins and now that he’s in Minnesota, Cousins has cleverly changed the “like” to “vike.”

Cousins and the Vikings have to vike their chances to pick up their second win of the season as they host the Bills on Sunday. They’re favored by 17 points and even though I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Vikings beat the Buffalo by twice that, it’s too big of a number for me to bet. The last thing I want to spend my Sunday afternoon doing is sweating out 21-point lead watching Josh Allen drive down the field in the fourth quarter against the Vikings third team defense. The backdoor cover potential is just too much for me to vike the Vikings as 17-point favorites.

Since the over/under is only 41 and the Bills have given up an average of 39 points a game themselves, I think the Vikings will vikely cover that point total or come close to it by themselves. Vontae Davis excluded, the Bills will be competing all four quarters no matter how out of hand the score gets. At this point, the season is as much about getting rookie quarterback Josh Allen as many live reps as possible, win, loss or draw.

I expect the Vikings to put up 40-45 points and the Bills to score a touchdown or two late once the Vikings have taken their foot off the gas.
