Alex Collins gets on track with top-10 fantasy performance at running back

It’s been a disappointing start to the fantasy football season for Alex Collins. He hasn’t gotten nearly the same workload as last year when he was the team’s bell-cow. The lack of touches has put his fantasy production at an extremely low rate.

Baltimore has been using Buck Allen a lot in passing situations which has pulled Collins off the field. Allen has even garnered some goal line work which is where Collins is most effective.

However, this week is a good opportunity for Collins to get back into form. The Ravens are taking on the Denver Broncos who are traveling away from home for the first time this year. Denver’s defense has been solid so far, but they haven’t faced a running attack like Baltimore’s.

Some of Collins’ low usage this year has been due to game flow. In Week 1, the Ravens had a big lead and were finding a ton of success in the passing game. This past week, Baltimore was chasing points trying to get back into the game.

The Ravens need to get back to their proven formula of featuring a strong ground attack, taking deep shots with Joe Flacco’s arm and playing stout defense.
