Real Madrid face Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, Sept. 22. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Real Madrid saw their perfect start to the season ended last weekend against Athletic Bilbao, settling for a draw. On Saturday, Real return to the Santiago Bernabeu to play Espanyol. The Budgerigars are tied for third in La Liga with seven points in four games.

Real Madrid were very good on Wednesday, easily beating Roma 3-0. The Italian club struggled to create many good scoring chances. Gareth Bale continued his strong start to the season, scoring his fourth goal of the season. It was rumored that Bale would consider leaving the club at the end of last season but Bale recommitted to Real Madrid. With Cristiano Ronaldo gone, Bale and Karim Benzema have embraced their larger roles in the attack and are delivering.

Espanyol have won two of their past three games, keeping clean sheets in both of their wins. However, the Budgerigars struggle to score goals. Espanyol has only scored five goals, with five different players scoring. The Budgerigars will likely take a conservative approach against Real Madrid and get as many players between their own goal and the ball. If Espanyol are going to score against Real, it will likely be Borja Iglesias, who was signed in the summer from Celta de Vigo after scoring 22 goals in the second division last season.
