Running Backs: Lamar Miller, Houston Texans- $6,700; Matt Breida, San Fransisco 49ers- $6,200

We begin with Breida, who had a breakout performance in Week 2. The second-year running back carried the ball 11 times for 138 yards and one score. He also caught three passes for 21 yards and a touchdown.

Despite not scoring the most fantasy points at the position, Breida rushed for the most yards in Week 2. He currently leads the NFL in rushing with 184 yards and is averaging a league best, 8.4 yards per attempt.

As mentioned earlier, the 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Although, Kansas City has only allowed 123 yards and one touchdown on the ground, they have allowed opposing running backs to score 64.9 total fantasy points, 29th in the NFL.

Breida’s role in the pass game should increase this week and that will help his numbers. Miller, enters Week 3, with 166 total rushing yards, fourth most in the NFL. He has been averaging only 17 carries a game, because the Texans have been playing from behind in both weeks.

His role will increase this week against the New York Giants. Expect Miller’s production and efficiency to increase once Deshaun Watson begins playing at an elite level again. The matchup against the Giants, presents itself as a great opportunity for that to happen.

The Giants have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to opposing running backs and it seems there season in unraveling quickly.
