No. 1 Matt Breida vs. Kansas City

Breida was the definition of making the most of the situation. With the Mckinnon injury, the 49ers high hopes, warranted or not, took a little hit. Who was going to be the premiere back?

I hoped the fullback, Mr. Juscyczk would get more love but Breida was a tour de force in the win over the Lions. A great bounceback performance for Jimmy G and Co.

11 carries on Sunday, just 11! Breida rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on those 11 carries though.

Kansas City hasn’t found their run defense just yet after the wins over the Chargers and the Steelers. If the 49ers are to keep up with Mahomes and his band of stars a good share of that has to go through Breida. Look for Breida, and maybe George Kittle, to be a big part of the gameplan against he Chiefs.
