10 RB sleepers to watch for in Fantasy Football Week 3
By Connor Ulrey
No. 7 Austin Ekeler vs. Los Angeles (Rams)
Ekeler shouldn’t be a sleeper. He’s been so good to being the year but he’s still only started in just over 51 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues. High ownership and low start rates are bound to come back to bite you when he’s gone off for 20+ in PPR leagues often.
Ekeler gets his toughest matchup but I still find him as one of the most favorable in this game. The Chargers have a tough matchup in general but as sleepers are concerned, Ekeler is one that could give juice to the offense trying to potentially keep up with one of the league’s best. Ekeler can catch with the best of them after five for 87 yards in the opener against the Chiefs. Ekeler balanced that out last week with 11 carries for 77 yards in the win over Buffalo.
Gordon is a key for the Rams defense. Allen too. Ekeler in the flat is an option I like if the Chargers offense needs a jumpstart. It’s a tough play but you may regret it if you don’t.
