No. 1 Kerryon Johnson, RB, Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions pulled off a big shocker this week by upsetting the New England Patriots. This is a team that looked awful through the first two weeks, but came out with a solid plan against New England.

Offensively, it started with them finally establishing a strong ground game. Both LeGarrette Blount and Kerryon Johnson found success.

Detriot’s offensive line was fully healthy and dominated the line of scrimmage. There was a lot of running room between the tackles. Johnson finished the game with over 100 yards which was the Lions first 100-yard rusher since 2013.

He did his damage on just 16 carries averaging over six yards on those carries. Johnson showed off some both his explosiveness and shiftiness. He made some really impressive cuts that helped him create more yardage.

Detroit will look to ride this momentum and keep the run game rolling. The entire offense just flowed better with Johnson and Blount pounding the ball.

Johnson is another player you will likely need to trade for. He came into the season with plenty of hype and patient owners would’ve kept him on the roster. However, there could be a handful of leagues where Johnson is on the waiver wire.

If he’s out there in your league you need to make a push to add him to your roster.
