Often times receiving production is based on where a player ranks on his teams target list. Very rarely do you want someone who is seeing the third most targets on a team unless there’s something special going on with that team. The Rams are a perfect example as they support nearly four receivers if you count Todd Gurley. The special factor here is someone you may have heard of: Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers and G-Mo have had a connection for more than just this season but it’s been strengthened over the course of the last year. Allison is a deep ball threat on an offense that moves the ball very well. Opposing defenses have to keep Randall Cobb, Davante Adams and Jimmy Graham in check which leaves only Allison downfield, often drawing signal coverage.

He’s produced double-digit fantasy points in every game so far and Rodgers isn’t even fully healthy. He won’t be going away anytime soon and when you have a player catching passes from one of the best to ever do it, you add them to your team. I’d argue he’s the top option this week based on consistency and projections, but we have him down at No. 3 just because he’s the third mouth that gets fed in Green Bay.
