Next Game: @ Texas Tech

Will Grier certainly made up for missing a week due to Hurricane Florence, taking on a tough Kansas State defense and lighting them up for 356 yards and five touchdowns. He has comparable stats to every other quarterback occupying the Top 5 Heisman list with one fewer game played.

Grier has the look of a quarterback who is ready to step into the NFL as soon as the final seconds tick from the clock this season.

In another marquee matchup, the Mountaineers travel to Lubbock to take on Texas Tech and their own possible Heisman candidate quarterback, freshman Alan Bowman.

This may well be a battle for the rights to eventually play Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship game, with two quarterbacks who are scorching opposing defenses this season.

Edge to Grier in this battle, as the Red Raiders pass defense is absolutely abysmal, giving up a whopping 284 yards per game including eight passing touchdowns. Notch the win for West Virginia and another week at the top of the Heisman list for Will Grier.
