No. 9 Taylor Gabriel vs Tampa Bay

The Bears still aren’t sure what to do with Taylor Gabriel. That could change against a Buccaneers team coming off their first loss of the season.

The Bears sit at 2-1 on the year but it’s not been easy for first-year head coach Matt Nagy and second-year QB Mitchell Trubisky. The offense doesn’t have a flow. Having one of the best defenses in the league at the moment is a big help. The Bears gave up two early touchdowns to Arizona on the road Sunday but went on to give up zero the rest of the game.

It’s on Trubisky and the rest of the offense to find their groove. Gabriel could be the most important piece in there. For Trubisky it’s really heavy on that first read. The Allen Robinson or the Trey Burton. If he calms down and focuses on his time he has in the pocket for extra reads, Gabriel could spread the Tampa Bay defense.

Could Gabriel go McDonald on Chris Conte this weekend? I’d enjoy that. I think this week is the week the Bears could use the speed they have with Gabriel that complements the abilities of Allen Robinson so well.
