5. Los Angeles Lakers

You never count out LeBron James.

Never.

So, with King James now reigning supreme in Hollywood, the Purple and Gold should not be counted out on the ability to shock their rivals to the North. Contrary to popular belief, the Lakers will not be all about LeBron. Rajon Rondo practically rejuvenated his career last season in New Orleans and will take a lot of the ball-handling pressure off of LeBron.

Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram look like stars-in-training, and he will only get better with King James on the court. Don’t forget about Lonzo Ball, who may be this team’s X-factor and a bench that will have depth.

With King James aboard, the Lakers have the potential to make it to the Western Conference Finals, and the Warriors know plenty well what LeBron can do to them.
