Defensive Tackle. Ohio State. Dre'Mont Jones. 9. player. 44.

The Atlanta Falcons have one of the more explosive offenses in all of football, and as long at quarterback Matt Ryan is at the wheel, it will continue to be so. Last year, they selected wide receiver Calvin Ridley from Alabama in the first round, and through the first four games of his NFL career, he looks like an absolute steal.

The problem with Atlanta is not how many points can they put on the board, but rather how do they keep the other team from staying out of the end zone. Their defense has had their injuries, that is true, but overall, they need to upgrade some of the talent on that side of the ball, especially up front in the trenches.

With their first round pick in April, the Falcons should look to bring in a solid defensive tackle, and Dre’Mont Jones from Ohio State is one of the best this draft class has to offer. Jones, has the strength to push offensive lineman around, but he also has great feet, and is able to track down running backs at the second level.

Atlanta will likely be picking a lot later in the first round in April, but right now, they would have a top-10 pick if the season ended tomorrow. Look for them to be picking in the second half of the first round, but if they are picking this early, Jones would be a major upgrade on a defensive line that needs to be better in 2019.
