Colorado Rockies

Life is funny.

Have you ever caught yourself just looking? Not staring. Not observing. Not noticing. Just looking. For example, I just glanced up from my desk and looked outside the window. I looked at the trees, waving in the wind. I looked down a bit and saw my car, idle in its parking spot. Look. A man just went by on a bike.

The world can be an amazing place if you just stop and look for a second. And if you don’t like what you see. Close your eyes.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself somewhere you would want to look at. Maybe the mountains are covered in snow. Maybe there are no mountains. Maybe you’re closing your eyes and looking at kids running around at a carnival. Or you’re looking at a quiet sunset on the beach.

Go ahead, close your eyes and imagine yourself looking. When you reopen them, this column will still be here. What did you imagine? I bet you imagined yourself in a hammock with a drink in your hand. Away from everyone without a care in the world. Let me know what you imagined in your comments.

Life can be so rewarding.
