Who saw Colorado contending in the Pac-12 this season? Mike MacIntyre has this team playing at a high level and they could get back to the conference title game again. The Buffaloes continued their hot streak, remaining undefeated with a win over a surprisingly-solid Arizona State team in Boulder on Saturday evening. As long as Travon McMillian and Steven Montez keep churning, this offense will be tough to stop.

Oregon was one of those few AP Top 25 teams to get a bye in Week 6 and the Ducks probably wished they didn’t. Coming off a nice win over No. 24 Cal on the road had to instill some confidence and build momentum, but bye weeks can sometimes crush that mojo. The Ducks will have a tough test in Week 7 off the bye with Washington coming to town.

On a night when the Hurricanes received terrible news about star receiver Ahmmon Richards retiring, they found a way to overcome a 20-point second-half deficit to go on a 21-0 run to beat in-state rival Florida State. The Seminoles put up quite the fight, but Miami proved to be too much and it looks like Miami finally has its QB1 in freshman sensation N’Kosi Perry. The schedule from here on out gets easier for the Hurricanes.

Wisconsin got a bye week, of sorts, as Nebraska came to town on Saturday evening. The Cornhuskers didn’t stand much of a chance, but Scott Frost still got some positive signs from his freshman quarterback Adrian Martinez. He threw for nearly 400 yards but the Badgers were just too dominant on offense, led by 221 yards from Heisman-hopeful Jonathan Taylor.

Hitting the road in the SEC is no joke and Kentucky knows that. The Wildcats took down Florida in The Swamp earlier in the season, but the unbeaten Wildcats put their perfect record on the line in College Station against a resurgent Texas A&M team. Jimbo Fisher’s Aggies gave Kentucky all it could handle, pulling off the upset in overtime. The Wildcats still showed plenty of promise and will bounce back, but they’ll drop slightly this week.
