After losing the opener to Notre Dame, Michigan has been on a tear, of sorts. The Wolverines continued that in Week 6 with a 42-21 home win over Maryland. The Terrapins don’t present the toughest of challenges, but the Wolverines looked solid despite getting their best fight. Heck, this Maryland team did beat Texas in the season-opener. Michigan’s firing on all cylinders at the right time with Wisconsin getting ready to head to Ann Arbor for a huge Week 7 battle.

It was a tough week for Auburn, to say the least. It may be time to start asking what’s wrong with Jarrett Stidham as he finished just 19-for-38 with just over 200 yards and no touchdowns against Mississippi State. Sure, the Bulldogs’ defense, led by Montez Sweat, was solid, but he looked uncomfortable and lacked confidence all night. Can Auburn get back on track before it’s too late?

Prior to the season, there were some firm believers that Florida would be a serious contender in the SEC, and they got laughed at. Fast forward to Week 6 and they look like geniuses as the Gators have now won four straight, including two consecutive games against ranked opponents. Saturday’s win against No. 5 LSU was their biggest of the season and the Gator defense was too much for the Tigers to handle. This Florida team may be for real, folks.

No Scott Frost, no problem. The Knights have had better luck than their former head coach (Scott Frost) this season, going 5-0 and looking like the Group of Five favorite to make a New Year’s Six bowl. The Knights and McKenzie Milton had no problem with SMU in Week 6, winning 48-20. There may be no team in the AAC that can hang with the Knights this season. Could we see yet another undefeated campaign?

The Nittany Lions got a bye week at the perfect time, following a tough home loss to Ohio State, but they’ll get a chance to bounce back against an ailing Michigan State team in Week 7. James Franklin’s team is still going to hover around the top-10 range, but people are looking for more consistency from this squad. This team can’t be Trace McSorley and 21 other guys anymore.
