No. 6 Austin Ekeler vs Oakland

Ekeler is in the sleeper category who shouldn’t be slept on. It seems that way each week even as a potential boom candidate in certain situations as Melvin Gordon’s backup. In PPR leagues, Ekeler should get the look as he’s become a solid option out of the backfield.

The matchup? An Oakland defense that’s allowed 100-plus yards to the Rams, Broncos and Browns including 198 yards and three touchdowns last week against those Browns.

Ekeler is a perfect complement to Melvin Gordon, who’s having another great start to his campaign. 13 catches and 163 yards to go with two touchdowns through the air for the Chargers back. Risk it this weekend and come at me if I’m wrong (I don’t think I will be).

No. 5 Javorious Allen vs Cleveland

Speaking of perfect complementary backs, Allen has become one for the Ravens. The combination of Buck and Alex Collins has been important and even more so in the win over Pittsburgh.

Three touchdowns on the ground to start 2018, Allen had his largest carry load against the division rival with 10 carries for 30 yards. Add in the 15 catches on the year and Allen is a player I really like in another important AFC North matchup.

Cleveland is coming off an absolutely frustrating loss to Oakland I fully expect Mayfield to sling the ball all over the field. The running back core for the Browns is proving their worth too. Hyde and Chubb should be big here too. Battle of the duo backfields, can Buck Allen make the most moves this weekend through the air and on his touches?
