TE: Austin Hooper, Atlanta Falcons

Shockingly, Austin Hooper was the Atlanta Falcons most prolific pass-catcher against the soft Pittsburgh Steelers defense in Week 5, as the Falcons stumbled to a disappointing 41-17 loss to a red-hot Antonio Brown.

In a game where stud wide receivers Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley were non-factors, Hooper and Mohamed Sanu shined for quarterback Matt Ryan, who added 285 passing yards to his growing 2018 season total.

Hooper was consistent throughout the game, notching 9 passes on 12 targets for 77 yards. The versatile tight end is clearly just a chain-mover in the Falcons offense, but he could play a bigger role against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that is notoriously atrocious at covering tight ends.

Last week, Hooper saw a spike in ownership due to injuries at tight end, as he only caught one pass for 19 yards. Though he’s an inconsistent fantasy option due to his sub-10.0 yards per reception average and just one touchdown catch this season, he could be worth streaming for TE-needy owners.

Again, he has a good Week 6 matchup against Tampa Bay, is coming off of his best game this season, and has natural talent. Hooper isn’t a reliable fantasy option, but he’s good depth at the TE position and can be worth streaming for owners that don’t have better options at tight end.
