Shooting Guard

Starter — Tony Snell

Reserves — Malcolm Brogdon, Sterling Brown, Donte DiVencenzo

The Bucks looked to mix and match their lineups with of bevy of guards being thrown together with no real regularity under Jason Kidd, but you should look to see a more steady mix out on the floor under Mike Budenholzer.

After a career year in his first go around in Milwaukee, Tony Snell failed to live up to his $46 million dollar price tag last year. Despite receiving a considerable commitment from the Bucks brass, Snell saw his numbers drop off in scoring, rebounding, 3-point percentage, true shooting percentage and usage rate.

Headlining the issues for Snell was his inability to provide a reliable outside shot. He did complete the season with an impressive 40.3 percent mark from deep, but this was pieced together between three months of sub 34 percent 3-point shooting and three months of above 43 percent.

Despite this, you should probably still expect to see Snell begin the year in the starting lineup, with Brogdon set to split his minutes between both guard positions.

After starting in all 80 of his appearances in 2016-17, Snell was relegated to bench duties 26 times in his 75 outings last year. 25 minutes appears about right for the 3-and-D specialist, with third-year guard, Sterling Brown also chomping at the bit for an opportunity.

First round draft pick, Donte DiVencenzo would appear to be on the outer with this group, though expect Budenholzer to start Brogdon and turn to his rookie if Snell once again struggles to consistently find his stroke.
