The CW’s Riverdale begins season 3 on Wednesday night with episode 1, “Labor Day.” Here’s how to watch the episode online.

The time has come to return to the land of too many plot lines that is Riverdale. And even though the new season is just beginning, there are already many storylines to keep track of in the first hour.

Picking up three months after the events of the season 2 finale, the characters are still grappling with the fallout. Of course, the core four will be dealing with the most drama. So, what are they dealing with in the first hour of season 3?

For someone who recently learned her father is a serial killer, Betty Cooper is doing pretty well. She is running the Serpents with Jughead as they have to find a new base of operations since the Southside is going to become Hiram’s new prison.

Most of the difficulty Betty has to deal with comes from home. Particularly, with her mother and sister being full blown cult members, complete with holding infants over fires.

The other half of Bughead is trying to lead the Serpents in this new Riverdale. That means Jughead has to deal with the Ghoulies who sided with Hiram and have way more power now. Luckily, leading the Serpents is a Jones family affair.

Now moving over to Archie and Veronica. The former is about to learn his fate when it comes to his murder trial. And Archie just wants one last carefree day of summer.

Veronica will try to help Archie by going to her father and asking him to drop the case against Archie. But this is Hiram, so it seems unlikely that he would drop whatever his plan is for sending Archie away.

By the end of the Riverdale premiere, there will be an all new mystery to unravel. No spoilers here, but it is absolutely bonkers.
