Fantasy Football, Week 6: High value plays for FanDuel
By Dylan Broady
Kirk Cousins – Minnesota Vikings – $7,900
Kirk Cousins has been a very consistent, reliable quarterback to play in fantasy football the last few seasons. Cousins hasn’t skipped a beat in 2018 with his new team the Minnesota Vikings. He has multiple weapons to rely on each and every week. With only one bad showing thus far this season Cousins is a great value play going forward.
Through five games, Cousins has amassed 1,688 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns and 161 completions. Cousins has averaged 337.6 passing yards, 2.2 touchdowns and 32.2 completions per game. Cousins has been everything and more for the Vikings and everything they needed to complete their team and make another push for Super Bowl glory.
In Week 5, Cousins faced the defending Super Bowl champions and threw for 301 yards with a touchdown on 31-of-37 passing. Cousins thus far has helped pace a potent offensive attack with the Vikings. Looking ahead we can safely say he’s going to remain reliable and trustworthy.
In Week 6, Cousins and the Vikings will go up against the 24th-ranked Arizona Cardinals defense. The Vikings should be able to set up the run as the Cardinals rank in the bottom half of the NFL at 31st against the rush. Cousins should be able to utilize the play action all game long in what should be a blowout affair.
The Cardinals have allowed 391 total yards, 248.6 passing yards, 142.4 rushing yards, and 22.4 points per game. Arizona has struggled all season long to establish any kind of balance on offense or defense. Cousins and the Vikings should have a good game offensively.
Prediction: 350 passing yards, 3 touchdowns
