No. 8 Mike Williams vs Cleveland

Mike Williams deserves more targets. There I said it. The 2nd year product out of Clemson is off to a great start in his sophomore campaign and in that Chargers offense with so much talent he’s a big time player.

Thus far in 2018 Williams has 15 receptions for 249 yards and three touchdowns. That pairs nicely with that sizzling 16.6 yards per catch average. Williams hasn’t passed five catches in any game this season so far and that five catch game came in week one against Kansas City.

That average per catch doesn’t tell the whole story until you break down his numbers. Against Kansas City, with those five catches, Williams finished with 81 yards and then one upped that two weeks later with four catches for the same yardage against the Rams.

Williams is a second half sleeper and that’s not a bad thing. It might make you sweat a little but it’s worth it. In the second half of games this season? Williams has 12 catches for 180 yards and 10 first downs. Oh, pair that as well with four catches of 20+ yards.

The Chargers get Cleveland and I really think this is a great game in general. It should be fun and I think if Rivers finds Williams more it’ll be a great day for #81.
