32. Christian Wilkins, DL, Clemson

  • Height: 6’4″
  • Weight: 300
  • Class: Senior

There’s no doubting how good the Clemson line is when it comes to units in college football. However, many wonder who is the top guy on the line because they all feed off of one another. Christian Wilkins, one of those linemen, is doing what he needs to do this season to show he can be an impactful NFL player. He’s on track with his production again, with five and a half tackles for loss and two sacks on the year.

He gets the slight bump this week because he continues to be explosive off the ball, especially when he gets a good jump on the snap. He fits well as a three-technique defender because of that explosiveness. Again, he still has issues with strength and winning without that big first step, but the upside is still there with Wilkins.

31. Jaquan Johnson, S, Miami

  • Height: 5’11”
  • Weight: 190
  • Class: Senior

The Miami defense altogether has made strides as the season goes on. We’ve already seen Gerald Willis III jump up to make the board, and Jaquan Johnson keeps his spot this season. While his production isn’t crazy this season (just 32 total tackles right now), he is still a fantastic prospect. The lack of production comes a lot from what the front seven has been able to do. If no one makes it to the back end, it’s hard to get tackles.

Johnson is still a very physical presence at the line of scrimmage and on the back end. He won’t miss many tackles in space and brings the intimidation factor to the likes of a Kam Chancellor. He will still be a kept secret if he doesn’t flash on tape, but he does everything he needs to do in order to become one of the first safeties off the board in April.
