Winner: Michigan Wolverines (No. 12 up to No. 6)

Is Michigan back? It’s hard to believe this is a serious question being asked after watching how the season started for the Wolverines. They fell at the hands of Notre Dame and it wasn’t pretty despite the close final score.

Jim Harbaugh gets a lot of criticism for not being able to beat top-ranked teams on the road, but that was put on hold Saturday as his Wolverines took down No. 15 Wisconsin at home.

Sure, the road woes have continued for Harbaugh and the Wolverines, but who cares about that when you’re dominating just about everyone at home — Wisconsin included. The Badgers didn’t have much of a chance against a red-hot Michigan team in Ann Arbor, losing 38-13 behind a strong second half from the Wolverines’ run game.

Karan Higdon continues to fly under the radar as one of the nation’s most underrated backs and Shea Patterson had a strong game on the ground but didn’t get much going through the air with just over 120 yards.

People are already jumping on the Michigan playoff bandwagon, but is this an extreme overreaction?
