DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Oct. 16, 2018
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Dario Saric (at BOS, $5,500) Needs 24.4 fantasy points Saric had a lot of success against the Celtics last season. Including the playoffs, he averaged 32.4 fantasy points in seven games against Boston. He scores in a variety of ways, puts up close to double-digit rebounding numbers and picks up a handful of assists in the Sixers system. A healthy Celtics team is better equipped to defend him, but even if he’s not scoring, he’s still getting rebounds and assists. With his salary, he should be at value if nothing else. Diagnosis: A reliable player who could double his value if his shot is falling
Jaylen Brown (vs. PHI, $5,300) Needs 23.4 fantasy points With Gordon Hayward back in the lineup, it’s tough to know where Brown — and Jayson Tatum, who I’ll get to later — real fit in. Brown was inconsistent against the Sixers last season and is a streaky scorer whodoesn’tt always make up that value with rebounds and assists. But he’s a starter who will get the benefit of playing against the Sixers bench unit, which definitely helps his cause. He should hit value, but I’d be cautious. Diagnosis: A wait-and-see approach might be best with Brown.
Quick Hits
Alex Abrines (at GSW, $3,200): If he draws the start, he’s worth a pick-up as a salary saver. He’s the best shooter on OKC and should get plenty of looks as the Thunder try and keep pace with the Warriors.
