8. Cameron Meredith, WR, New Orleans Saints

Over the two games heading into New Orleans’ bye, Meredith had eight receptions for 103 yards on nine targets. Now a little further removed from missing the first two games, as he worked all the way back from the torn ACL that cost him all of last season, Meredith’s push into the No. 3 wide receiver spot for the Saints should continue.

The Saints’ next three opponents, the Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams, are all in the top half of the league against wide receivers (ESPN PPR scoring). But all three of those games could be pretty high-scoring, setting up Drew Brees to throw the ball plenty and target Meredith. After that, things get far easier against the Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons from Week 10-Week 12.

Meredith is likely to be inconsistent. But he is worth adding as a WR4/WR5 in 12 and 14-team leagues, and a prominent role in a Brees-led passing game is always a promising fantasy prospect.
