6. Marquise Goodwin, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Goodwin returned from leg issues Monday night against the Green Bay Packers, and had four catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns. The hamstring issue had plagued him off and on since Week 1, but the former Olympian has a touchdown catch in two of his last three games.

Having C.J. Beathard under center puts some limitations on the 49ers’ passing game, and Goodwin will obviously be affected. But in Beathard’s five starts last year, Goodwin was targeted 27 times (11 catches) and averaged a robust (and unsustainable?) 28.1 yards per catch. Better efficiency came Monday night, with five targets for Goodwin, but somewhere between a 41 and 80 percent catch rate would be fine.

Goodwin has some decent-looking matchups coming from Week 7-Week 10, against the Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Oakland Raiders and New York Giants. After a Week 11 bye, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12 are about as good a matchup as a wide receiver can have.

Goodwin’s value is not great in PPR leagues. But otherwise big plays, the occasional touchdown and favorable matchups on the slate makes him a worthy addition in standard scoring formats.
