ATLANTA, GA – APRIL 4: Josh Richardson /

High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Josh Richardson (at ORL – $6,300): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. Richardson announced himself to the league last season. He was the subject of trade rumors in the offseason, but hopefully that just fuels him coming into this year. The Magic are going to be a bad basketball team while Miami should be good enough to get into the playoffs once again. If Richardson is a late bloomer and takes another step this season, that would be huge for Miami. He can put up numbers in all categories. Diagnosis: The matchup helps and while his ceiling isn’t very high, he turned into a very reliable option by the end of the season. Maybe a slight risk if you don’t think it will carry over with Dwyane Wade back in the mix. No Justise Winslow or Dion Waiters should help his minutes.

Taurean Prince (at NY – $6,000): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. Price isn’t exactly “the guy” in Atlanta, but he might be the closest thing they have. Trae Young is going to get all the attention as the rookie, but I’m always hesitant on rookies on bad teams. Oftentimes, they try to do too much and that leads to poor results. Prince turned himself into a very reliable option last season. If teams decide to pay too much attention to Young, Prince will benefit. Diagnosis: It helps playing the Knicks. It always helps be the best player on a bad team because someone has to put up big numbers.

Joe Ingles (at SAC – $5,500): Needs 22.6 fantasy points. You should always ride for Ingles, especially against bad teams like the Kings. One heavy nights of action, you need reliable players who can potentially have big games if they get hot. That’s exactly what Ingles is. He’s going to get open shots, he’s going to hit them, and he’ll pick up a handful of rebounds and a couple of assists. Diagnosis: Take the guaranteed points against a favorable matchup. And if he gets hot, be thankful he’s on your team.

Quick Hits

Carmelo Anthony ($5,700): If you believe in Houston’s magic.

Danilo Gallinari ($6,400): If you think he can make it through the game without getting injured.
