No. 7 Rams D/ST vs. San Francisco

Defenses are on here one week and gone the next. Rarely do they stand out when they find their place but one matchup I do love is the Rams defense against San Francisco. The Rams haven’t played up to snuff these past few weeks defensively, that’s obvious.

On the other side, C.J. Beathard torched the Packers, in the first half, in a near upset (sort of?) win in Lambeau. Beathard is probably upset with himself for the deep throw on third down and short with a chance to win the game but hey no guts no glory as they say.

The Rams have an interesting schedule ahead with a division rival San Francisco on the road this week before facing Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees in back to back weeks. Then you see the Seahawks, who are better of late, and the Chiefs in that glorious matchup just before the bye.

This may be their most important stretch of the season.

The pass defense finds itself middle of the pack heading into this week, not great but not astronomical levels when it comes to yards given up, sorry Kansas City. I’d say this is a miniature prove-it game.

The talk I heard was “is this Rams team real?” Which is a loaded question, obviously they’re real. Are they real good? Yes. They have a lot of talent at all facets especially on defense. I like that to shine in a big divisional matchup before back to back tough NFC foes.
