High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Cedi Osman (at MIN – $6,200): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Cedi is the best player in the league according to every Cavs fan I know. He definitely impressed on opening night and his salary has jumped as a result. It looks like a scenario where you would want to stay away, but I like him for these reasons: I trust Cavs fans, he’s going to get playing time as a starter, the Cavs are facing Minnesota. The Timberwolves defense is bad and Cedi has the tools to put up numbers. Diagnosis: The salary might be too rich for you, but trust in Cedi.

Nemanja Bjelica (at NO – $5,000): Needs 21 fantasy points. Bjelica showed last season that he can be an impactful player when he got playing time. He’s going to get playing time in Sacramento. The Pelicans matchup is tough with all their frontcourt talent, but Bjelica is a good scorer and rebounder who fits in better than someone like Zach Randolph. The salary is reasonable and he has upside. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, but I like what I see from him when he plays. And he’ll continue to play.

E’Twaun Moore (vs SAC – $4,800): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. Moore got off to a strong start against Houston, finishing with 28.6 fantasy points. He’s a reliable player alongside Davis and maybe he’s taken the next step with his game this year. I’m not fully bought into Moore as the Rockets just looked disinterested in playing defense, but it’s not like the Kings are much better. Diagnosis: Value is largely tied to his scoring, but he should continue to score next to the Pelicans top guys.
