Players costing over $6,667

Anthony Davis (vs SAC – $13,300): Needs 56.2 fantasy points. No salary is too high for Anthony Davis at this point. With FanDuel dropping your lowest score, you can take Davis and then waste a low salary spot. It’s Anthony Davis against the Kings. If he doesn’t have over 60 fantasy points, it would be very surprising. And as we saw on opening night, he can jump to over 70 fantasy points and make it look easy. Diagnosis: Never feel bad for taking Davis. He’s on another level right now.

Aaron Gordon (vs CHA – $8,400): Needs 35.5 fantasy points/ I’m convinced early season Aaron Gordon is unstoppable. He got off to a hot start last season before the Magic crashed down to earth and Gordon became injured. The Magic still aren’t great, but I’m not sure the Hornets are great either outside of Kemba. Gordon is a well-rounded player who gets it done with his scoring and rebounds. Diagnosis: Ride early season Aaron until the season turns a month old.

Nikola Mirotic (vs SAC – $7,200): Needs 30.4 fantasy points. Mirotic was on fire against the Rockets, continuing his hot stretch from last season when he was traded to New Orleans. If Julius Randle is out, Mirotic will take on a bigger role. Even with Randle in the lineup, he’s a great fit next to Davis and will continue to get open looks to go along with rebounds. Plus, they are playing the Kings. Diagnosis: Great matchup for a very good player on a team that looked unstoppable on opening night.
