Taylor Gabriel puts up another 100-yard game

Mitch Trubisky’s recent hot streak has help rise the stock of Taylor Gabriel. The speedy receiver is coming off back to back 100-yard games including two touchdowns against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gabriel is using his explosiveness and speed to stretch the field. He has able to haul in a 54-yard reception last week against the Miami Dolphins. However, he is also getting work in other areas of the field.

Matt Nagy is making a strong effort to get the ball into Gabriel’s hands. This includes wide receiver screens and work over the middle.

However, it has been Trubisky’s increased confidence in his deep ball that his really helped Gabriel. Trubisky is also showing more accuracy down the field. It makes sense for the Bears to continue to foster this relationship.

This week the Bears take on the New England Patriots at home. The Patriots rank in the middle of the road in pass defense and are coming off a game where they gave up 352 yards to Patrick Mahomes.

Chicago knows they will need to put points on the board in order to keep pace with Tom Brady. This would be even more important if Khalil Mack is slowed by his ankle injury.
