1. Kansas City Chiefs

As previously mentioned, the Chiefs lost a nail-biter last week against the Patriots. A win would have cemented their place on top of the AFC, and while a loss did not take them out of the conversation, it still proved that the Patriots are the team to beat. The Chiefs have one of the most electric offenses in the league and proved that by putting up 40 points against the Patriots in their house.

Back at home now, the Chiefs have a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, another one of the best teams in the AFC. Andy Dalton has the Bengals offense humming, which is somewhat of a necessity because the defense has been bad. Regardless, sitting at 4-2 the Bengals are a formidable opponent that the Chiefs shouldn’t overlook.

With the second best record in the NFL, the Chiefs are being chased by every team in the AFC, including the Chargers who are only one game back. With the AFC being so congested this season, every win is important, no matter what part of the season it is.

With a win, the Chiefs will maintain their one-game lead over the Chargers regardless of their result. Not that confidence is lacking, but anytime a team takes a loss, winning in the next week always feels good. A feel-good win over a quality opponent will remind (not that they need it) the Chiefs that they are one of the best teams in the league.
