7. DJ Moore vs. Philadelphia

DJ Moore has caught a lot of flack, in part due to how successful Calvin Ridley has been so far. Granted, Moore hasn’t been the receiver the Panthers needed from the jump but he’s getting there!

After a goose egg in the opener, Moore did catch his first touchdown against Atlanta but only finished with the one catch, albeit for 51 yards. After the bye he’s been a more effective target, with four catches the last two games. He’s also been used, once, in the run game with an 18 yard rush against both the Giants and Redskins.

I think Moore continues that evolution this week in a game Carolina has to be competitive in as the NFC South, mainly New Orleans, heats up. His ability to stretch the field makes him a threat in most matchups and even with the weapons they have a target to look out for.

Like Humphries, Moore has no red zone receptions this season and I could see that changing this week against Philadelphia. To be noted as well, the largest chunk of damage Moore has done has been in the second half, when he scored his lone touchdown on the year, with 120 yards coming after halftime.

I think Moore gets a Philadelphia secondary that still has no rhythm and presents a golden opportunity.
