Ben Roethlisberger
PITTSBURGH, PA – JANUARY 14: Ben Roethlisberger /

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

Stats: 2033 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, 6 INT, 38 rushing yards, 1 touchdown.

Ben Roethlisberger and his legendary career keep moving forward no matter the circumstances. Roethlisberger each and every week this season has proven he can be a viable and useful fantasy football option. While many would rather have other quarterbacks, Roethlisberger can and will get you those big numbers in the right games.

The way he plays at home versus the road has been televised multiple times, while analysts break down why and how there is such a huge difference in production. We may never really know but Big Ben gets a home matchup with the lowly Cleveland Browns in Week 8. Their first matchup was in a rainstorm and shouldn’t be taken into consideration this Sunday.

Roethlisberger has some impressive stats this season that shouldn’t be overlooked. His big play ability and pocket prowess are top notch in the NFL. Some have been quoted saying tackling the giant quarterback is like trying to tackle a tree. He is very hard to bring down and his skill set has always been that of a gunslinger. The Browns lack talent and although they are having a good season, Cleveland isn’t at Pittsburgh’s level.

Start Big Ben in this matchup if you have him and don’t worry about his production. He’s at home and has many weapons to throw to. James Conner has been a very reliable weapon out of the backfield and once again should give this team balance. The great thing about Roethlisberger? He doesn’t need a ground game to have a great fantasy output. He can sling it 50 times to Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster and be just as productive for your team this Sunday.

Prediction: 400 passing yards, 3 touchdowns
